Changi Airport DFS Mini Lipstick Haul
Got my mum to pick up some lipsticks at DFS from her recent trip to China.
The Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet were unavailable then, so I bought it at our local counters instead.

I wanted to get No 33 but I fear it looks too red. I might drop by again to check that out. 31 is great you should get that!
I like your Rouge Coco Shine colours, so niceeee! Adventure is such a nice brightening pink! And the YSL Rouge Volupte looks fantastic on you! 😀
How does the Rouge Allure Velvet feel on the lips?? Nice?? I wanted to take a look at that line at Nuance Watson in T3 too, but there aren’t available 😦 There isn’t YSL Rouge Volupte in the shade you got too; everything available was pinks that looked garish on me :(:(:( if only they stocked the new Rouge Volupte Perle and Rouge Pur Couture Lustre… >.<
I so wanted badly to get the Chanel Holiday collection, but it isn't in yet either. (T.T) So I ended up picking up their Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in 55 Confidence and Graphite nail polish. 😀
I love Adventure and Boy! Boy is more of a neutral, very nice for daily wear whereas Adventure is a wonderful pink that brightens up any skin tone. Liberte is a little too “old” for me so it was passed to mom >.<
The Rouge Allure Velvets are quite drying for me and emphasizes fine lines after a while but it goes on very creamy and smooth without drag so that was a plus. I usually put on a waxy lipbalm beneath to help with the moisture so that works out well for me.
The YSL is pretty good, I own several YSL lippies and I find that the formula is much better than Chanels so I'm definitely going to be sticking with the YSLs in future.
Haha Liberte is that bad?? I thought it doesn’t show up much at all! I like Sari d’eau much better, and Rebelle! (I ended up getting Rivage cause I have little pink shades)
Yaaa YSL is awesome! I love their Rouge Pur Couture line! I’ve never tried the RVs though, the colours available never seem to suit my skintone. 😦
I agree the Rouge Allure Velvet is quite dry. It doesn’t exactly glide on my hand, but the pigmentation is really good. The coral one looks best! But I settled for the Holiday Collection Rouge Allure in 197 Enivree– much smoother and it glows! Think Rouge Allure and Extrait de gloss are the only ones I think don’t dry my lips out. >.<
Yes the more I tried Liberte the more I hated it. Forget it, just can’t get it to work for me. I am better off with pure peaches or oranges rather than “in-between” colours like Liberte. Total fail 😦

hehe today i tried 31,32, and 33… 33 looks bright on me! so i took 31.. i think 32 looks best on me, but it looks similar to some other lipsticks i have.. but still i fear i will buy them. it is very hard for me to resist Chanel lipsticks.
I haven’t tried 32 but it looks very nice in the tube like a nude peachy pink. And 31 is like a staple for me ever since I got it (well, besides YSL Rouge Pur in Honey Beige 142). It is such a lovely nude for everyday 🙂
Babe, I love th YSL on you! How does it compares to Chanel #31? I got the #33 and I love it and it’s not too red! Is The YsL lipgloss avail in Changi airport?
Hi Lyn! YSL has a lot more peach/orange in it and actually applies quite stark unless you sheer it out with your fingers (which I did). The colour is along the lines of Revlon Soft Nude (some peach/pink in it). Chanel #31 has more brown in it, with some orange but no peach. Both give different feels but can be worn daily or with heavy eye makeup. I don’t think I’ll be able to just choose one, both of them are very different in their own ways. But I like the formula for YSL RV better as it is slightly more moisturising than the Rouge Allure Velvets 😉
Im not too sure if YSL glosses were available because I wasn’t there personally but my guess is yes because the last time I travelled they do carry the glosses 😉
