The sky is the limit with NUBAR 2010!

Nubar 2010 was created to celebrate and commemorate Nubar’s 10th anniversary of ten years of creating safe and innovative nail lacquers free of DBP (phthalate), formaldehyde, and toluene.  This fantastic shade consists of flakes of reflective glitter in a  polychromatic base, and displays its many shades when worn alone as a sheer polish or layered over other nubar nail lacquers for a dramatic effect.

It is truly an astounding polish containing flakies that appear as fiery orange, green or gold depending on the light hitting it. You can layer it over any polishes (whether dark or light) and it adds dimension to different colours.

OPI Pamplona Purple (2 coats) + Nubar 2010 (2 coats):

This is truly an astounding polish and adds a uniqueness to any boring creme polish. I’ve been trying to get Nfu-Oh flakies for the longest time ever but they are so expensive and HTF in Singapore. Nubar 2010 is the closest flakie polish I can get. The flakies distribute easily and evenly and instantly transforms a polish. It is super pretty especially in sunlight ;0)

Swatch & Review: Orly Galaxy Girl + PA AA04

The nail on my index finger broke more than halfway down my nail bed, and being the absolute perfectionist I am, I decided to trim all my nails the furthest they could go without hurting. 😦

I am so annoyed by how easily my nails split and peel and they hardly grow beyond 5mm from my nail bed. Sigh. What I managed to do now is to use a nail glue on my nail to hold the split together… While I patiently grow it out.

Decided to use a sparkly polish to help make myself feel better anyway!

My nails are so stubby now 😦

Orly Galaxy Girl on her own:

This was 3 coats of Orly + 2 coats of PA. Both are a dream to apply, the PA flakies are a little harder to put on though as compared to the previous one which I had worn here. It looked really “galaxy-like” though and reminds me of the starry midnight sky 🙂

Orly Galaxy Girl on its own, is a lovely duochrome that flashes blue and brown depending on the lighting. The application is awesome but the first two coats can be pretty sheer.

MISA I Will Survive + PA Nails 380

I had gotten some PA flaky nail polishes from FEP a few days back and Im so  glad I tried it out!

This is a clear polish filled with glitter particles and tiny red and pink heart-shaped flakies.

I wore it over MISA I Will Survive:

I’m happy with the way it turned out even though Im not really one who is for layering polishes. This was 2 coats of PA flakies over 1 coat of Misa I Will Survive which I had brushed on haphazardly but it does provide good opacity at just 1 coat. The PA flakies dried rather gritty so a thick top coat is necessary. Drying time is fast for this manicure and I totally “heart” it!
