Winged Liner

This is a look I do very often and doesn’t require much. All you need is a nice highlighting eye shadow, black smudgeproof & water-resistant eyeliners and a shimmery beige eye pencil.

I have used this Bobbi Brown Long-Wearing Gel Liner in Black Ink since 2008 and Im still left with so much no matter how much I try to use up :/ It’s my favourite gel liner because it doesn’t dry up as easily as MAC/Maybelline/Kate. It’s been 3 years and it still goes on creamy and smooth.

I used Milani Liquif’eye on both upper and lower waterlines (along outer 2/3rds). Then I smudged on some MM Jewelling Eye Pencil in BE208 on the inner corners to brighten up the eyes. The last step was to pat the Makemania gold shadow on the upper eyelids just on the crease to give extra definition. This is not a natural makeup look, it actually looks very defined and “black” in real life. For something less harsh, I suggest lining thinner and perhaps skip the lower lash-lining.

I received 2 separate compliments from strangers when I did this look yesterday, and it really warmed my heart because this is the first time that someone actually bothered to tell me that my “makeup looks very nice”.

Sometimes it’s really little things like these that make me happy 😉
